BYERS WATT, President
Byers Watt has over 10 years of
marketing experience,
most recently with Lexington-based Cornett Integrated
Marketing Solutions. As an account manager and
copywriter for Cornett, Watt has won nine Lexington
Advertising Club awards for his work on behalf of Darby
Dan Farm, the
Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association (TOBA),
Turfway Park,
United
Way of the Bluegrass, the
Kentucky
League of
Cities, and the
Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau. At
Cornett, he was responsible for helping craft overall
marketing programs and strategies, as well as managing
development of creative work and implementing media
placement for client campaigns.
As a copywriter, Watt wrote
award-winning print, television, and radio pieces for a
number of Cornett clients. He also served as a public
relations manager at Cornett and was part of a team that
was responsible for the creation, implementation and
execution of all public relations programs, including
projects for such clients as Keeneland Race Course,
Fifth Third Bank, and others. Additionally, Watt helped
craft PR strategy and tactics for two successful
political campaigns in Kentucky while at Cornett. Prior
to his work with Cornett, Watt served as head of public
relations for the Scient Corporation in San Francisco.
He began his marketing career at
Edelman Public Relations in New York, where he served as
an account manager in the Edelman Healthcare division.
Watt holds a B.A. in history from Duke University.

JIM CULLEN,
Creative Director
A graduate of the University of Louisville,
Jim Cullen is an
award-winning journalist who has been involved with
advertising and marketing for much of his professional
life. He has previously served as director of media
relations for
International Engineering
Consortium (IEC), an international
telecommunications company based in Chicago, as well as
stints as director of marketing/communications for
organizations such as
Kentucky
State University,
Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders’ Association (TOBA),
the
Texas Thoroughbred Association (TTA) and
West Point Thoroughbreds.
As a partner in The Oakland Group, Cullen
specializes in the creative development of marketing
campaigns and their application in print and broadcast
mediums. He has also mastered technologies and creative
strategies utilized in Internet marketing, specifically
in-house management of promotional websites.
In addition, Cullen serves as president of
Cullen Bloodstock Services in Lexington, which he
owns in partnership with his wife, Kristine.
